The R/H and L/H filament clamps, shown here with the screw and hex nut balloons, are offered as a way to extend the part life past the original designs capability. Also, after extensive testing at customer sites, it was decided to remove the Filament Guide features from the clamps as they were found to be of little value unless source life exceeded 600hrs. To ensure the longest possible part life, it is not recommended that the screw and nut be used until the clamp shows signs of becoming weak and unable to properly secure the filament.
